My Beading Journey…

As with many of my fellow beaders, it all started with one bead and one project. I wanted to make a lariat for my BFF Ginney, on which to hang her ID badge. I needed help.

My first source of inspiration was my sister-in-law, who shared with me a glimpse into her little box of bead treasures. That’s all it took, and I was hooked. That was 25 years ago.

I found a wonderful bead shop, joined a local bead society, and took every class I could afford. I attacked each new technique with great enthusiasm. If I failed, I tried again. Beading has taught me incredible patience and transports me to a “place of calm”.

I have been so fortunate over the years to have had the opportunity to meet and learn from many talented artists who also happen to be really cool people.

If someone ask me where my inspiration comes from….

I tell them that I am inspired daily by the amazing colors and textures Mother Nature lays before us, the soaring places music can take our minds & souls, the vastness of the ocean, and of course… God’s gift of all creatures great and small.
